On our first night, my darling sang this song to me to sleep. I did not know some of the words, and she told me it was an Ilonggo folk song.
Her fingers glided past my curly hair as she sang the song. The wind blowing on my face as I slowly fell asleep.

Tatay passed away in 1996 at age 81. I inherited his "handay-handayan", that reclining chair with long arms for the legs to rest on.
