I test drove this couple of weeks ago: Audi A6.
I would rank it in the same tier as the Mercedes E-class and the BMW 5-series.

an old mercedes, e class.  (must be e class because there's an e there, otherwise, i'm truly daft about classes, hehe.)  the hubby bought it because he felt it fits me to a t.

Mercedes Benz is one of the top quality car makers out there, their older models are beautiful and the engine is built to last decades. I have a good friend whose father still drives a 1998 Mercedes S-500 series and the engine is still in tip top shape despite having over 120,000 miles. You can never go wrong when you go for Benz.

When you think of, or when you see a Benz, one thing comes to mind: Class.

I have a good friend whose father still drives a 1998 Mercedes S-500 series and the engine is still in tip top shape despite having over 120,000 miles. You can never go wrong when you go for Benz.

we are believers in the merc, too.  our first one ages ago was a 1988 230e model.  it was just too big for me.  this one now is a 190e with 6 cylinders.  its size is just right for me; i don't feel 'buried' in it, unlike the old one where i felt like a little girl inside.

we have a friend whose mercedes had been through it all, the mileage counter went back to 1, from the beginning, because it has reached the maximum mileage that the counter is capable of counting.  yet the car was still in tip-top shape and super running condition, good as new.

When my father and I were searching for a new car for my mother, the things we looked at were:
1. Safety standards
2. Engine performance
3. Fuel efficiency
4. Luxury standards

We considered the following models:
1. Porsche Cayenne S
2. Mercedes ML-350
3. Toyota Land Cruiser
4. Cadillac Escalade
5. Audi Q7


Decision:
My father saw all the specs, test drove the models and concluded that the Porsche Cayenne S was the best of them all.
So he got that one. It's truly a beauty. The thing about luxury cars is that they're not just toys, or automobiles for the sake of being driven, no, they are also pieces of art. The example of human mechanical engineering...

This was his wedding anniversary present to my mom.

truly i do.  luckily it stops there.  i won't trade my current merc for any rolls royce.  it's like admiring brad pitt and not really considering, even for a moment, seeing him in person, much less marrying him.
