What is Micropenis?

Current studies suggest that a man with micro penis has a penis size of about 2 cm at birth, and 4 cm in adulthood.

Experts argue about these numbers but they give a good idea of what micro penis is all about. Micro penis is discovered soon after birth when all parts of the genitals have had a chance to fully formed. Micropenis is very rare and only shows up in about 0.6 percent of the entire male population.

What causes Micro Penis?

Micro penis is thought to be caused by a low amount of the needed hormones to allow full development of the genitals, namely the penis. The male infant did not get enough androgen and this stops the penis from growing to its normal size.

Other hormones that in low amount can cause micropenis are testosterone and dihydrotestosterone. These hormones present a hormone deficiency in the genitals and can result in micro penis syndrome. Also a problem with the pituitary gland can result in a good height but a very short penis.

Whatever the cause, Micro Penis can cause a big problem for a man’s self esteem and social life. A man with micro penis can still make babies but he can really only have sex in order to father children and who wants that? Sex is meant to be enjoyed but sex as well as urinating while standing is really difficult when you have a micro penis.

Can Micro Penis be treated to make the penis bigger?

Yes there are treatments for micro penis. At birth the baby can be supplemented with the right hormones to allow the penis to fully form.

There are also penis enlargement surgeries but these are avoided because the result usually won’t be good enough to even bother. These operations can only add an inch or two at most.

Another way to make the micro penis bigger is through use of a traction device. The traction device has no limit to how much it can increase penis size. Today many thousands of men use the traction device to enlarge their penises as I have.

I had seen that report in TV.... it was a Dr. from Sweden or Denmark...am not sure anymore...after having an operation for penis enlargement...na na infected hinoun, sus, louy tawon perti gjong paglagom.  But the operating Dr. had tried to find a way to save his penis. I don't know what was the result.
