What We Hate About Meetings

1. Disorganized, rambling meetings: 27%
2. People who interrupt peers and try to dominate the meeting: 17%
3. Cell phone interruptions: 16%
4. People who fall asleep in meetings: 9%
5. Meetings with no bathroom breaks: 8%
6. Long meetings without refreshments: 6%
7. People leaving early or arriving late: 5%
8. People who check their Blackberries during meetings: 5%
9. Meetings starting late: 4%
10. No written recap of the meeting outcomes: 4%

I have always maintained that unless the agenda is taking over the whole length and breadth of Asia, no meeting should take more than an hour.

(I could go on with this name-calling, but you haven't even answered that earlier advice I gave - that you go out and watch leaves change color. hahaha) The HSS library introduced him to me, through Crime and Punishment and The Brothers Karamazov. I learned of his Notes much later, while writing for the student publication during college.

Why does it always take people 40 days to finish something? In Noah's case, it rained for 40 days and 40 nights. Moses stayed in Mt. Sinai for 40 days. Jesus suffered in the desert for 40 days, too.

I have Toni Morrison's Beloved and three of her other books.

But I rarely read women. But I will, Chin, when you release your first novel. That is, after Nadine Gordimer.

It was an accidental 40 days. NO relationship, whatsoever, with biblical times and events.

After that, I started a life with the Chronicle and enrolled in HNU's College of Law. Note: The library was too small to accommodate my panghuy-ab.

Have you seen the TV series Alias?

The way they conduct their meetings is very superb!

While not exactly talking about taking over the whole breadth and length of Asia, but planning how to penetrate a tightly guarded fortress halfway across the world, retrieve a highly secured artifact, and get out without being noticed, their meeting took no more than 40 seconds.

That's the kind of meeting I want to be in. Everybody is ready and prepared way before the meeting is called. and yes, there were no arguments.
