As I grow in age, I value women over 40 most of all. Here are just a few reasons why:

A woman over 40 will never wake you in the middle of the night and ask, 'What are you thinking?' She doesn't care what you think. If a woman over 40 doesn't want to watch the game, she doesn't sit around whining about it. She does something she wants to do, and it's usually more interesting. Women over 40 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you if they think they can get away with it. Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved. They know what it's like to be unappreciated. Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your sins to a woman over 40. Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman over 40 is far sexier than her younger counterpart. Older women are forthright and honest. They'll tell you right off if you are a jerk if you are acting like one. You don't ever have to wonder where you stand with her. Yes, we praise women over 40 for a multitude of reasons. Unfortunately, it's not reciprocal . For every stunning, smart, well-coiffed, hot woman over 40, there is a bald, paunchy relic in yellow pants making a fool of himself with some 22-year old waitress. Ladies, I apologize.

For all those men who say, 'Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?', here's an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage. Why? Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage!

Sex After 40 A Rare Event For Single Women

The single women on Desperate Housewives don't seem to have much of a problem finding sexual partners, but real life single women over the age of 40 may not be having as much luck, say researchers from Vanderbilt University. Their new study, appearing in the Journal of Aging Studies finds that as women get older, they report having fewer sexual partners - often no sexual partners - as a result of cultural beliefs and the biological and social effects of aging. Somewhat predictably, more women than men report having no partners.

The study focused on those aged 40 to 59 who are single, divorced or widowed; a group, the researchers say, that is typically underrepresented in sexual studies. "We've all seen the seductive 40- or 50-something divorcee portrayed in the movies who attracts men like honey draws flies. Think of Susan Sarandon's character in the film Bull Durham. However, this appears to be the exception rather than the rule and maybe that is part of these characters' allure," said the leader of the study, Vanderbilt's Laura Carpenter.

The study found that a combination of factors contributed to this enforced celibacy, including:

Older women being viewed by both men - and the women themselves - as less attractive as they age
Conservative beliefs about premarital sex
The trend of older men/younger women pairings
Higher male mortality rates

Which the researchers say add up to women having fewer - or no - sexual partners; particularly after the age of 50.

The study also revealed that, paradoxically, having a college education seems to both increase women's chances of having no sexual partners and having multiple sexual partners. Carpenter attributed this contradictory finding to heterosexual men's preference of partners with similar or lower educational attainment, which would result in a smaller pool of partners for women with higher levels of education. However, better-educated women may also enjoy more opportunities to meet potential partners than less well-educated women.

Oh, well. What is big for some is small for others--that is, whether we're talking of egos or tangible body parts... 

a warning from women over forty:  older men don't need big egos (usually, these egos are already deflated anyway) or tangible body parts to get the attention of young women.  big pockets, yes.  that's what young women are after when they do pay attention to lovers of their dad's or granddad's age. 

wanna buy love?  fill 'er up dem pockets first.  the loose change will go to a younger man, courtesy of the young woman of your dreams.  hohum.  good luck to your lifetime's labors and savings!
