Goodbye Digital Cameras Welcome Lomo

[kiamoy]

Who owns a lomo camera?
How fun is it?

Lomography emphasizes casual, snapshot photography. Characteristics such as over-saturated colors, off-kilter exposure, blurring, "happy accidents," and alternative film processing are often considered part of the "Lomographic Technique."[citation needed] Users are encouraged to take a lighthearted approach to their photography, and use these techniques to document everyday life, as the Lomo LC-A's small size, simple controls, and ability to shoot in low light encourages candid photography, photo reportage, and photo vérité through the much-touted "10 Rules."[2]

Similar to Eastman Kodak's concept of the "Kodak moment," the Lomography motto of "don't think, just shoot" presumes spontaneity, close-ups, and ubiquity, while deemphasizing formal technique. Typical lomography cameras are deliberately low-fidelity and inexpensively constructed. Some cameras make use of multiple lenses and rainbow-colored flashes, or exhibit extreme optical distortions and even light leaks.[citation needed]

[smiffytheninja]

They've been selling these kinds of cameras at an american shop named Urban Outfitters. Sometimes they're as cheap as $9, but they have  $40's that are reusable.

[hofelina]

Lomo is not really appreciated in Europe, this is environmentally unwise and the results are like you have been high on drugs.
This is the epitome of our past paced life, we just don´t like to miss anything.

[Nikon_D300]

Nice takes.. Lomo indeed has its own unique characteristic. But for me I would rather mimic the Lomo effect in PS.  Camera takes images, but the person behind the cam creates the images.

Cheers!!!

Hello, Lomo. Goodbye, Lomo

[hofelina]

Inday LanggamTamsi, I´m so amused with your postings, usik ang kwarta. You see this is an honorable virtue that´s why we survived adversity. Dili kita mag-usik-usik, sayang, magdaginot ta.

Some of this are instilled in my children´s head. My boy is extreme, mangomkompra gani mi, mangutana siya dayon is this a necessity?

[kiamoy]
