I've had former friends that were like this to me and my friends. Ma sakit pood atong dughan to think about it pero naa jud ang tawo ing ani. Lain pood na sila, we can't do anything but pray for them.

Agree, Dong!  We need to pray friends like this not for our own benefit but for themselves. This is an extreme case but I have a friend who is in deep financial mess because she's been borrowing money to keep up with her other friends who are a bit successful.  We should always remember Desiderata.

O, that's no problem Grace, there's just some things that are beyond our control. Wala man nimo toyua intawn. So don't worry oi. Looy ganiko nimo kay nahago gyud raba ka ato ug gama. Sige lang oi, motunga ra lagi to nako kung dili nako mabalik nimo ang importante dili sya mawala.

My friends are my pillars of strength. When I am overwhelmed and feeling weak on the knees, I lean on the pillar of friendship to keep me from completely falling apart. Friends are always valuable, but you realize just how much in times of adversity.
