Pulong Bisaya / Unsa Kaha?
« on: May 06, 2013, 08:32:20 AM »
contributor: Terry

Unsa kaha kung ang mga isda magpuyo sa kayutaan;
Mulakaw ba kaha sila o magkamang?
Mabuhi pud ba kaha sila?
Unsa kaha?

Unsa kaha kung ang mga tao pud naa ilawom sa katubigan;
Magpunay na lang ba kaha silag salum?
Hala ambot unsaon na lang
Lisud pamalandungon.

Unsa kaha kung ang mga dagkung punuan sa kahoy;
Makaistorya sa tanang sekretong iyang nakit-an?
Makauulaw gayud sa mga tawong
Adunay gibuhat nga dautan ilalom sa iyang punuan...

Unsa kaha ang mahitabo kung ang mga kabaw maoy magdaro
Ug ang tawo maoy kabaw?
Kalain gayud, palunangon sa mahugaw ug lapok;
Kasakit sa likod...

Unsa kaha kung mabali ang kalibutan;
Ang babaye di na manganak apan sila ng mga lalaki?
Unsa gyud kaha no ang mamahimong nawong
Sa atong kalibutan???
Unsa kaha???

MAKATI, Philippines – Atty. Chank Fraves, senatorial candidate Nancy Binay’s legal counsel revealed that the court has granted Nancy’s petition for a temporary protection order (TPO) against any kind of discussion, debates and any form of public appearances where she will make herself look dumb, whom she accused of being a “waste of time and brain function”.

The TPO is said to be good for 30 days, way past the election period, but Nancy’s legal counsel made a petition to make the protection order permanent so as to avoid other instances of embarrassing herself if ever elected into office. The proceeding is rescheduled on April 28 to 30.

According to Fraves, the TPO granted by the Makati RTC yesterday prohibits Binay from coming within 100 meters to any form of event or gathering, where a candidate must prove their worth to the electorate, any organized scenario where Nancy is susceptible to mudslinging and or subjected to embarrassment that may cause emotional toil on the petitioner and possible health risks.

The request came after the camp of Nancy Binay tried to rehearse a mock debate with one of her personal assistants in an undisclosed location, to see if their bet was indeed incapable of participating in a debate.

The chosen personal assistant to face her was none other than her own 8-year-old son, Julius Benedict Binay Angeles.

In the words of one insider privy to the secret mock debate, “I’ve never seen a son dominate her mom the way Julius did.”

“First topic palang, tameme na agad si Ma’am Nancy eh (Nancy was already tongue tied even on just the first topic)!” said our source.

“She was standing there shaking, obviously petrified,” said another. “You can literally see sweat dripping from her forehead and all she could do was take a sip of water!”

Binay was apparently speechless and emotionless for a whole 27 minutes before demanding a “break” from the rehearsal.

“Her parents had to calm her down to get her composure back, to which it took them a whole 2 hours before bringing her back to a normal state.”

That was when her father, Vice President Jejomar Binay decided to go to the courts to ask her daughter to be barred from any debates.

“For health reasons,” said the older Binay, when asked for a comment. “Only handshakes and pasmile-smile nalang ulit for the meantime.”

As for the 3rd generation Binay, he quickly took to social networking site Facebook and posted a status update:

We are receiving rumors that Jack Enrile’s camp are also mulling filing a similar petition in the courts. Stay tuned.

Vote wisely.

The Inca Tern (Larosterna inca) is a seabird in the family Sternidae. It is the only member of the genus Larosterna. This uniquely plumaged bird breeds on the coasts of Peru and Chile, and is restricted to the Humboldt current. It can be identified by its dark grey body, white moustache on the both sides of its head, and red-orange beak and feet.

(CNN) -- Two bombs struck near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday, turning a celebration into a bloody scene of destruction.

The blasts threw people to the ground, killing two and injuring dozens.
Hospitals reported at least 110 people being treated, at least eight of them in critical condition and 14 in serious condition. At least eight of the patients are children.

"Any responsible individuals, any responsible groups, will feel the full weight of justice," President Barack Obama vowed.

Boston "is a tough and resilient town," he said, adding that Americans will stand by Bostonians "every single step of the way."

'Like a huge cannon'

The terrorist attack, near the marathon's finish line, triggered widespread screaming and chaos, shattered windows and barricades and sent smoke billowing into the air at Copley Square.

They were about 50 to 100 yards apart, officials said.

"It felt like a huge cannon," a witness told CNN about one of the blasts.

Photos from the scene showed people being carried away on stretchers. One man in a wheelchair had blood all over his face and legs.

The bombs shook buildings, sending people to seek shelter under tables, witnesses said.
Federal authorities are classifying the bombings as a terrorist attack, but it's not clear whether the origin was domestic or foreign, a federal law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation said.

A federal law enforcement official told CNN that both bombs were small, and initial tests showed no C-4 or other high-grade explosive material, suggesting that the packages used in the attack were crude explosive devices.

Another explosive device found

Authorities in Boston found at least one other explosive device that they were dismantling, Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis said.

Davis said a third blast at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library was believed to be related to the marathon bombings, but police later said that incident was believed to be fire-related. The library said all staff and visitors are safe.

It was unclear who may have planted the marathon bombs. There were no credible threats before the race, a state government official said.

There is no suspect in custody, but many people are being questioned, Davis said.

As authorities searched the scene, numerous suspicious packages were found, possibly because people fled the area, leaving items behind. Investigators were checking them.

The Marriott hotel at Copley Place was evacuated as a precaution.

The Lenox Hotel was also evacuated as a precaution, the Boston Globe reported.

'Horrific day'

Crowds were in the area watching the runners take part in the world's oldest annual marathon.
It was also Patriot's Day, commemorating the opening battle of the Revolutionary War.

Within seconds, the festive occasion turned into devastation.

"This is a horrific day in Boston," Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick said in a statement.

"My thoughts and prayers are with those who have been injured. I have been in touch with the president, Mayor (Thomas) Menino and our public safety leaders. Our focus is on making sure that the area around Copley Square is safe and secured. I am asking everyone to stay away from Copley Square and let the first responders do their jobs."

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder spoke with FBI Director Robert Mueller and U.S. Attorney Carmen Ortiz, a Justice Department official said.

Holder has directed the full resources of the Justice Department to be deployed to ensure the matter is fully investigated, the official said.

The Federal Aviation Administration placed a flight restriction over the site of the blasts.
Other cities, including New York and Washington, tightened security as a result. Following standard protocol, the White House cleared out an area in front of the West Wing.

"If you see something, say something," Mark Boughton, mayor of Danbury, Connecticut, wrote on Twitter. "All cities will be on a heightened state of alertness per Homeland Security protocols."
Mike Baingon, who works at the Atlantic Fish Company in Boston, said an explosion took place in front of the restaurant and that he was right by the front door at the time.

The explosions occurred at about 2:45 p.m., more than two hours after the first of the race's nearly 27,000 runners had crossed the finish line, CNN Producer Matt Frucci reported.

The race was halted as was subway service into the area.

Runners east of Massachusetts Avenue were directed to Boston Common; those west of Massachusetts Avenue were directed to Kenmore Square, the state's emergency management agency said.
Troops from the Massachusetts National Guard were assisting police as well.

Eric Ducharme: The Real-Life Merman

Like any other 22-year-old Floridian, Eric Ducharme loves to swim, except when he dives into the water, he trades his swim trunks for a floppy tail.

Ducharme is a self-proclaimed merman, a mystical male counterpart to the mermaid. As the legend goes, these seductive sea creatures with the upper body of a human and the tail of a fish, make themselves visible to ships during thunder storms and would lure the opposite sex into the water with their siren-like singing.

According to a story in The Daily Mail, Ducharme says he eats, sleeps, and breathes mermaids and mermen and tries to impersonate them whenever he can. "It's a lifestyle. It's a path in life that I have chosen," he says during a Wednesday night episode of TLC's "My Crazy Obsession," a reality show that follows people whose adoration for objects has become an obsession.

His love for all things mermen began as a child when, according to his website, his grandparents took him to an underwater theater and a woman in a mermaid costume swam by blowing kisses to the audience; at age six, Ducharme's father hired two mermaids to swim up to a dock where the boy was eating his birthday cake. When he was 13, Ducharme created his company Mertailor, LLC and sold his own handcrafted tails made from garbage bags and various fabrics. Three years later, he put on his first show, swimming as the mermaid prince in the Weeki Wachee Springs Little Mermaid show. "Eric is obsessed with mermaids," says his mother Candy Ducharme. "We have our own passions. That's Eric's life."

"It's taking me a really long time to kind of understand my place in life," Ducharme says of his obsession. Three times a week, he slips into his shiny handmade fin to swim Florida’s natural springs, an hour and a half drive from his home in Crystal River. He calls it "mermaiding" a time to escape the pressures of the real world. "When I put on a tail I feel transformed," says Ducharme, who can hold his breath for four minutes at a time. "I feel like I'm starting to enter into a different world when I hit the water."

And although his boyfriend Matthew Quijano was initially shocked, he's accepted the mermen lifestyle. "When I first met Eric, I was introduced to the subject of mermaids, on our first date," he says."Your jaw just kind of drops and you're just like, 'wow.' When we go swimming I don't even see him because he swims off to his own little corner, it's all about getting away from the rest of the world…Sometimes we have to ask people what's with the scolding looks because they're just like, 'why is there a guy in a tail? It's supposed to be a girl,''' Quijano says, shrugging. "Haters gonna hate."

No matter. Business at Mertailoris booming. His mermaid and mermen wet suits (made from silicone, urethanes, and latex rubbers in different colors and textures of scales and fins) range from $185 for the spandex tail to $2,759 for the silicon version and there's even a kid's tail priced at $169. The tails have been featured in photo shoots on Germany's "Next Top Model", in advertisements for Skittles and on "Saturday Night Live" in the music video "I'm on a Boat" featuring T-Pain. Ducharm's client list even includes Lady Gaga.

Ducharme's mission is to make his costumes available to "every aspiring mermaid and merman who dreams of life in the sea."

DAVAO CITY (Updated) -- A touching photo of a police officer attending to an old beggar with a wound on his head has gone viral in social networking site Facebook as netizens lauded the policeman for his gesture.

"Galing naman ng mga bagitong pulis ngayon, sana lahat ay may damdaming ganyan," Bibiana Tamayor Ramos posted.

Sun.Star Davao photographer Seth delos Reyes was at the vicinity of the San Pedro Cathedral taking photos during the Palm Sunday mass when he spotted Mallari attending to the old man. He quickly snapped a shot, capturing the moment without Mallari knowing it.

Mallari commented on the FB post: "Sir Seth, d ko po nabantayan na kinunan ninyo po ako. but I thank u sir, kc kahit papano pagod namin sa trabaho nawawala ng biglaan.. Some things we don't talk about
Rather do without
And just hold the smile
Falling in and out of love
Ashamed and proud of
Together all the while

You can never say never
While we don't know when
But time and time again
Younger now than we were before

Don't let me go
Don't let me go
Don't let me go

Picture, you're the queen of everything
As far as the eye can see
Under your command
I will be your guardian
When all is crumbling
To steady your hand

You can never say never
While we don't know when
Time, time, time again
Younger now than we were before

Don't let me go
Don't let me go
Don't let me go

We're pulling apart and coming together again and again
We're growing apart but we pull it together, pull it together, together again

Don't let me go
Don't let me go
Don't let me go

1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4

Give me more lovin' than I've ever had
Make it all better when I'm feelin' sad
Tell me that I'm special even when I know I'm not

Make me feel good when I hurt so bad
Barely gettin' mad, I'm so glad I found you
I love bein' around you
You make it easy, it's as easy as 1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4

There's only one thing to do
Three words for you I love you
There's only one way to say
Those three words and that's what I'll do, I love you

Give me more lovin' from the very start
Piece me back together when I fall apart
Tell me things you never even tell your closest friends

Make me feel good when I hurt so bad
Best that I've had, I'm so glad that I found you
I love bein' around you
You make it easy, it's as easy as 1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4

There's only one thing to do
