Market & Economic Trends / Re: Metrobank Opens New Branch in China
« on: December 29, 2011, 08:06:26 PM »
metrobank will also open two branches in Bohol (Tubigon and Jagna)

27
upgrade the airstrip of pag-asa island and convert it into an airbase, so that it will serves as a jump off point our jets

28
of course we need radar system to do that. even if we cant stand toe to toe with china's modern military might, at least they will hesitate to bully us... at least the philippines will be a military threat in the region like what president marcos did in his reign

29
ok... at least nagsugod na... lets buy another two squadrons of multi-role fighter jets and daghang fully armed fast attack patrol seacrafts and engaged them before they can reach land. I think they will hesitate to land troops, murag pildihon sila sa guerilla warfare. AFP soldiers have more war experience than the chinese

The Philippine Navy flagship BRP Humabon (PF 11) steams in formation during a naval exercise with US Navy warships in the
West Philippine Sea (South China Sea) on March 14, 2010. The Humabon is a World War II vintage destroyer escort/frigate
acquired from the US in 1978. It is now deployed along the Scarborough Shoal, an atoll facing Zambales and which China claims. US NAVY

why does the media keep saying that PF-11 is our ONLY warship? Humabon was the PN's ONLY FRIGATE

humabon was once armed with hedgehogs anti-sub weapons, but were removed because humabon's old engine cant keep up with its top speed... because of hedgehogs weight

yes, your right lorenzo. I think china is not foolish enough to go into war that would damage their economy, their international image that took them so many years to build. China image now is like an ASIAN bully, an international thief by claiming all territorial waters and resources that no longer belongs to them even if its FAR AWAY from Mainland Territory.
Hakog! dako na ang ilang territory, mangangkon pajud ug lain. P-noy is right "we will not be pushed around"

our potential enemy are now fully automatics, using the most advance war machines available today. Let us not forget that cyber warefare is the war of the future. Lets take it on the cyberspace. Lets hire the most brilliant computer geeks from our talented workforce, hack china's communication and information system and know their plans about spratlys. Study their systems, and put a computer worm/virus that will destroy their system if war escalates, we will disrupt their communication and hack their own missile silos and use it against their fleet cruising the west philippine sea, sinking them before it will reach the Phillipine Shore. Deploy e bombs that will destroys any electronic and automated system available and by then the war will be back to manual, skills to skills, and employ guerilla tactics and invisible army. With more war experience AFP soldiers, we could win the war. Im not advocating war, just an out of the box idea. War my bring the best of us.

im so tired of hearing these same old issues... diplomatics protests... afp modernization fund being corrupted by government and military officials... it is hard to accept that the philippines has a very weak military firepower in the region.. powerful nations will always push the weak around..

cge nalang ug debate sa reproductive health bill, divorce, political issues etc...

dapat...

1. instill patriotism as early as the elementary level
2. ibalik ug tarongon ang ROTC CURRICULUM (male/female)
3. etc... daghan pang angayng tarongon ug buhaton busa ang AFP modernization tinuoray nang magsugod, dili kay cge lang ug pagarpar
4. kung dili na nato mahimo... im afraid...that the only way to modernize the military is to go to war.. hinaut unta dili mahitabo
