Bohol Latest News / Re: Miscommunication?
« on: April 20, 2011, 06:36:56 AM »

News report that the basis of the complaint of BM Freda Tirol and BM Balite did not actually happen smells like a cover up. Why not honestly report that the after the Governor called the Vice Gov and SP members to a meeting the issues were resolved and now the SP is back on track to do its work? It's one thing to say it's now patched up and quite different to say the rift never happened.

It would help the Governo if his people will set politics aside and welcome the initiatives of other individuals who want to help uplift the condition of the Boholanos.

Poor Barbie. Her fingers were cut-off by her ruthless owner

It is immaterial that the Court of Appeals nullified the information implicating him in the murder and quashing the warant of arrest. The fact is, before the CA made that order, the complaint and warrant of arrest against him were VALID. During that PERIOD OF VALIDITY when he dodged the law enforcement authorities, HE COMMITTED ANOTHER CRIME and COMPROMISED HIS FRIENDS TO COMMIT CRIME for his selfish end. Secretary De Lima should not back down. And Pres. Aquino, if he is serious about his MATUWID NA DAAN, should not let this episode with Panfilo Lacson leave a black eye in his administration.

This is not about a grudge between Lacson and the Arroyo Administration of the past. It's way beynd that. This is about the integrity of our judicial system.

The guilty runs away but the innocent is as bold as a lion.

Question and Answer / Re: Usay Imo Favorite Ipares sa Coke?

Ice ang pinakalami nga paris sa Coke

In the English Proficiency Index, the Philippines is not even in the list of 44 countries. And so is Australia, USA, Canada, and UK. What does this tell us? No need to rate the Philippines because we are already in the same league as these English-speaking countries? The rating does not include the whole continent of Africa, either, and some other countries in the Middle East. See this link:

I've never seen a person who is so arrogant and full of himself than Panfilo Lacson. When told by Justice Secretary De Lima that he should explain how he got out of the country and eluded arrest, he retorted the Justice Secretary should ask the National Bureau of Investigation and the Philippine National Police to explain why they were not able to find him.

There is no use reminding Lacson he is a Senator of the Republic and, as such, he should lead an example of respect for our judicial process under the new administration of his ally, Pres. Benigno Aquino III. No sense of propriety can get through his thick callouse self-righteous holier than thou self.

Living his the fantasy from reading too much spy novels, Lacson dragged people to commit the crime of helping him to elude arrest. No doubt he terrorized them for money, arm-twisted for fake documents, blackmailed for safehouses, threatened for transportation.

He is proud he was able to make a fool of the entire machinery of the government's law enforcement agencies.

I wonder what his next game plan will be when his term for senator will be ending and no longer eligible for reelection. Buy a seat in the House of Representatives?

Sad. But everywhere in the Philippines, the whole world even, the peace and order situation are not getting any better. This "things are not what they used to" observation is a worldwide phenomenon. And Bohol is not an exception. However, I still see that Bohol's situation is relatively better compared to other places.

There's an old edict saying among those who love the law: It is better to set free a hundred criminals than to imprison a single innocent person.

Philippine Business News / Re: New Bohol Airport (NBA) starts next year
« on: January 02, 2011, 01:00:14 PM »

Panglao is still the best location for the new Bohol airport, according to DOTC.
I believe the only benefit we get from the oppositors of having the airport in Panglao is academic discussion.
We can read their comments about projections, the feasibility studies, etc. all year long. But at the end of the day the stark, naked truth remains the same: the people of Bohol badly, longingly, desparately need a new airport.

USA and Canada / Re: CNN vs Fox News
« on: December 23, 2010, 06:31:34 PM »

If you want a wider and more international perspective, CNN.

If you want depth of discussion of issues, Fox News. But majority of the topics discussed deals on domestic US issues. Nonetheless, most of my favorite talkshow hosts are on Fox, i.e., Bill O'reily, Glen Beck and Huckabee.

Perhaps Mr. Lorenzo could explain to us more about post mortem erection. Or perhaps it was a pre mortem erection that became transfixed when rigor mortis set in. But ejaculation in that state of expiration is baffling indeed.

A dead man pretending to be alive grabbing the final opportunity to achieve "imortality" by leaving an offspring behind one last time?

Travel and Tours / Re: Airport Travel Tips: Reducing Waiting Times
« on: December 13, 2010, 11:32:19 PM »

Airport security requires that we remove our belt, shoes, heavy jackets, metalic apparels, cellfones, etc. BEFORE we step through the metal detector. So, in order to avoid or minimize the hassle, it is suggested not to wear belt and shoes.
