Press Release Philippines / Lacson magso-sorry kay Faeldon kapag…
« on: August 30, 2017, 05:47:50 AM »

“When he was interviewed yesterday sabi niya I’m willing to open my bank accounts, including those of the members of my family.

But that’s just words.

“Kung pipirma siya ng waiver I’d be glad if kung ako ma-assign niya to inquire into the bank deposits, his own bank deposits, members of his family, including his fiancée.

And kung talagang wala, I’ll be gentleman enough to apologize. Or maybe I committed a mistake,” pangako pa ng senador.

« on: August 30, 2017, 05:46:42 AM »

“It’s a damage control pero too bad for them nahuli sila,” ani Trillanes.

Press Release Philippines / MABILOG WINARNINGAN NI PDU30
« on: August 30, 2017, 05:45:35 AM »

“Well, I’ll tell you again, Mayor. Dinadawit ka. For the longest time, updated (narco) list, nandiyan ka. Do not protect, do not call the police, ganito na ganito. Do not just mess up with the… kasi ‘pagka nandiyan, drug lord ka rin eh. mapipilitan ako. Bakit ka nagprotekta? Why the mayors, kayong mga judges, kayong mga prosecutors. Alam ko man hindi lahat. Karamihan, wala. ‘Yung mag-corrupt.

President Rodrigo Duterte admitted on Thursday he was wrong with his self-imposed three to six months deadline on ending the drug problem in the country.
“I feel so bad [about] all of these things. How will I succeed, e nasa droga,” Duterta said in a speech in Ozamis City.
“Alam ko na nagkamali ako. Nagkamali talaga ako,” he added.

The President also said the Philippines has now become a “narcotics country.”
“Now, magtanong kayo, ang Pilipinas, are we or are we not a narcotics country? Yes, we are,” he said.

‘Eh sabi mo, noong nag-Presidente ka, three to six months.’
During the campaign period, Duterte promised to end the drug problem in the Philippines within the first three to six months of his term. When the deadline lapsed, he asked for another six month extension.

“Give me another six months. That self-imposed time of three to six months, well, I did not realize how severe and how serious the problem of drug menace in this Republic until I became President,” he then said.
But Duterte again asked for an extension, and his deadly drug war would extend up to the last day of his term in 2022

President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday renewed his pledge to policemen to back them all the way in the campaign against criminality – even promising them pardon if they get convicted in connection with the performance of their job.
But he also warned police officers engaging in illegal drug trade that they will have a big price to pay.

Speaking to policemen in Ozamiz City, a day after slain Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog and three other family members were buried, Duterte said policemen have his backing and full protection and that they should not think twice about tackling threats to the welfare of the society.
“If you in the police or military get into trouble in the performance of your duty, I will never allow you to be jailed,” he said.
But the President said those facing charges because they did their job should have to undergo the process.
“There would be investigation, trial and conviction. But I will grant you absolute pardon, restored to full political rights. I would even say you should be promoted to the next higher rank,” Duterte said.
But he warned policemen not to lie to him.
“Just tell me the truth,” he said.
Scalawag cops
For those who were into criminality or irregularity, Duterte said he could not do anything about them.

He said in fact, he was offering P2 million as reward for anybody who could help neutralize policemen involved in the narcotics trade.
“If you want money, go after them. No questions asked. I would not be asking who killed them,” he said.
Duterte said aside from the P2-million reward, he might also give free tickets to Hong Kong for those who could kill scalawag policemen.
Duterte also repeated his warning that he did not care if unscrupulous individuals get killed in the anti-drug campaign.
“Whether they are mayors or congressmen, I don’t care,” he said.
Duterte said the drug problem was destroying the future of the country as many youths had been hooked into it.
“So who will buy the medicine of old people? Who will pay for their hospital bills?” he asked.
Freed from narcopolitics
Duterte said the police should “destroy the organization of drug syndicates” and should not spare anyone who was into it.
He said he already warned governors and mayors against involvement in drugs but some of them did not listen.
Commenting on the death of Parojinog, Duterte said Ozamiz was now free of narcopolitics.
“You are now freed from narcopolitics,” he said.
Duterte also brushed aside threats from the Parojinog family to sue policemen involved in the deadly July 30 raid.
“And you still think about suing? You’re making a fool out of the people of Ozamiz,” he said.
Duterte said he did all he could by warning people against involvement in the drug trade but they would not listen.
“I have told you, do not go into drugs because there would be no compromise,” he said.
Duterte meanwhile pinned medals to seven policemen involved in the July 30 raid that killed Parojinog and 15 others.
They included Senior Supt. Jaysen de Guzman, the Misamis Occidental police director, and Ozamiz City police chief, Chief Insp. Jovie Espenido.

“Just don’t reply to these texts.”
This was the foremost measure proposed by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) in Bohol amid the tide of text message scams spread by tricksters preying on mobile users.
“If you reply to these texts, they will find a way to get money from you,” said NTC Bohol officer-in-charge Engr. Dennis Rocamora.
In an interview with dyRD Action Line’s Fred Araneta, Rocamora bared that text scams are mostly sent through regular cellular phone numbers.
“If only a phone number appears, that’s definitely a scam,” Rocamora said. “If you receive messages from providers and it would appear that it was sent from Globe or Smart, that’s not a scam.”
Swindling messages include raffle prizes while other mobile con artists guise themselves as relatives asking for money or cellphone load credits.
Several Cebu residents have fallen prey to these scams, said Rocamora.
“One victim sent money, but after that we couldn’t trace it anymore,” he added.
In most cases, after having swindled money out of victims, suspects immediately dispose of their SIM card and replace it with a new one.
“SIM cards nowadays are very cheap. You can buy at BQ for P10 to P15,” Rocamora said.
According to the NTC official, Sen. Panfilo Lacson previously moved to have pre-paid SIM cards registered but this was opposed by telecommunication companies.

MANILA — The Office of the Ombudsman has ordered the indictment of two Bureau of Internal Revenue personnel for bribery after they were busted in an entrapment operation last week.
In a June 30 resolution, the Ombudsman said there was probable cause to file charges before the Regional Trial Court against group supervisor Nora Halamani and revenue officer III Abolais Ampa, both assigned at the Revenue District Office 29 in Manila.
The Ombudsman media bureau announced on Tuesday that Halamani and Ampa would be facing charges of direct bribery and violation of Section 7(d) of the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees, which has prohibited solicitation and acceptance of gifts and favors.
This was after the Ombudsman conducted inquest proceedings against the two officials who were apprehended by the National Bureau of Investigation agents in a June 29 sting.
The complaint stated the two demanded P400,000 in cash “for the boys” in exchange for approved and signed BIR forms which Dealco Farms, Inc., needed to submit to the bank.
The two were arrested after allegedly receiving the bribe on the third floor of the BIR office in Intramuros. Halamani was said to have received a brown envelope full of marked money consisting of four bundles totaling P350,000 and 50 pieces of P1,000 bills

Boxing and Boxers / Amonsot: Horn's right hand can hurt Pacquiao
« on: June 07, 2017, 08:33:52 AM »
Filipino Czar Amonsot, who on Monday sparred with Jeff Horn, singled out the Australian’s right hand as his best punch.

Horn, according to Amonsot, throws his signature punch with enough speed and power that it would be his main weapon against Manny Pacquiao when they collide in Brisbane on July 2.

“Jeff is explosive,” the 31-year-old Amonsot said in a report by Grantlee Kieza of The Courier-Mail after a 10-round sparring session with Horn.

Horn’s camp has enlisted the former ALA fighter as one of his sparmates because of the latter’s toughness—the now Australia-based Amonsot (34-3-3, with 22 KOs) is on a 12-fight winning streak—and familiarity with Pacquiao.

A video posted by Kieza yesterday on Twitter showed Horn using his range and footwork to work on the southpaw Amonsot, who kept on charging at the Australian trying to land a looping left hand. But in the process, Amonsot had been on the receiving end of some blows from Horn.

Amonsot got a taste of Horn’s right straight, which is also the punch Pacquiao is most susceptible to.

Sportshub ( Article MRec ), pagematch: 1, sectionmatch: 1
“His [Horn’s] right-hand lead is fast and powerful. That’s a punch that could give Pacquiao a lot of trouble,” said the Tagbiliran City, Bohol-born fighter.

Horn will most likely rely heavily on that punch when he tries to take Pacquiao’s WBO welterweight championship at the Suncorp Stadium next month.

Kyamko was the chief of the Bohol police Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) before taking over the helm of the TCPS.

He was also previously assigned at the Criminal Investigation Group 7 regional office in Cebu.

Kyamko will be replacing Supt. Patricio Degay who was named chief of the TCPS after former station commander Supt. Nicomedes Olaivar was reassigned to Sultan Kudarat late March.
