I was told that he was offered an economist's position in the United States that proposed an annual salary of $85,000; starting salary. This would have doubled with years of duty or had he acquired his MBA.
He turned down possibility of American citizenship, and a privileged lifestyle to serve his people and town.
To me, that is the epitome of a LEADER. He is what Bohol needs. Educated and trained in the United States and now giving back to the land of his birth.
