3: Filoli, San Francisco
Filoli, which is counted as one of the most beautiful and famous gardens of America, is situated at 30 miles south of San Francisco. This beautiful garden has Crystal Springs Lake at the north and it is situated at the eastern slope of Santa Cruz Mountains. The lake at the north, pleasant atmosphere and placement at the Pacific coast range increase the beauty of this garden. Spread over 654 acre, out of which 16 acres contain the formal garden, looks like heaven on earth. The stunning beauty and special event at Filoli makes every season an enjoyable season. The house and garden facility are also available from mid-February to end of October. Though this garden is open only for 10 months in a year, one visit to this admirable place can enrich one with energy for the whole year.

4: Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, France
Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild is a majestic garden which was constructed between 1905 and 1912 at Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat on the Mediterranean coastline of the south eastern corner of France by Baroness Béatrice de Rothschild. It is a beautiful garden built on the headland on the isthmus of Cap Ferrat. An example of exemplary human-made structure surrounded by breath-taking natural beauty. The building in itself is simply “Exquisite†with its antique furniture, rare porcelain collections and lavish green gardens which already have been notified to be the “Notable Gardens of France†by the French government. The atmosphere in the garden is so serene that it will hold your breath for a while and soothe your senses.

5: Dumbarton Oaks, USA
Dumbarton Oaks is a famous 19th century mansion situated in Georgetown (Washington, D.C.) famous for its gardens. Currently housing the Dumbarton Oaks Research Library and Collection, a scholarship center for Byzantine studies and landscape architecture history ( since the year 1940) which now publishes the journal Dumbarton Oaks Papers and other reference books in their major field, this mansion was built in 1800 as a residence to U.S. Senator and Vice President John C. Calhoun. However, later, it was bought and owned by Robert Woods Bliss and his wife Mildred Barnes Bliss who in turn was an art collector and thus cherished a taste for “classical†masterpieces with beautiful creativity.
