The first living things are the cells, not that when the sperm and egg meets, that is the start of life. The sperm and the eggs has life already. Once the eggs and the sperms do not meet, they die.
That's precisely correct, Mr. Daray. I would like to add to your post by saying that the these gametic cells , the sperm and egg, are unique to the rest of the somatic cells in the body. The somatic cells contain within them 23 pairs of chromosomes (in total 46 chromosomes), whereas the gametic cells, which are sex cells, only contain 23 chromosomes in total.
The reason for this is because these gametic cells are literally haploid copies, they require their union with the opposite sex cell in order to become a diploid -- containing 23 pairs.
Isn't it beautiful and marvelous how God differentiates these gametic cells from the somatic ones? The foundation of life depends on these gametic cells and their reproduction.
