Some of them are fishing within the Philippines sea. Some where caught, jailed and paid fines. Yet they keep coming back.

I knew about it when I saw a news from TV Patrol World specifically in Batanes. And this is one of the big problem in that area. Batanes fishermen were having trouble catching large number of fish because of them.

It is up to the Philippine Coast Guard to stop these illegal activity.

The same is also for Chinese fishermen in the Kalayaan Federal Protected Group, west of the the Palawaan Province. There are battalions stationed in around that group to prevent any illegal Chinese activity. The amount of illegal fishing in Philippine-protected territory is so vast that Philippine Navy actually rams the Chinese fishing boats.

These fishermen come from the coasts of southern China (which is populated in the hundreds of millions), and these fishermen will continue to come to our waters looking for fish. With the Philippine Navy so outstretched to protect all our waters and with limited amount of ships and government's slow nature in acquiring more ships for the navy, this problem will continue to arise if not addressed properly.
