Backgrounder:

This song was written while driving on the way to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, one springtime day. The scenery was so beautiful and striking that it kept feeding thoughts in my mind. The mental phrase, "Look at the trees," just never left my mind even long after that leisurely drive. It got hooked on me and I to it.

The original material was actually recorded "live" at St. Rita's Church with the school children, then later on dubbed in additional sounds (i.e., pan flute, bass and additional guitars) in my studio to create more sonic atmosphere to the song in general.

Backgrounder:

This song was written while driving on the way to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, one springtime day. The scenery was so beautiful and striking that it kept feeding thoughts in my mind. The mental phrase, "Look at the trees," just never left my mind even long after that leisurely drive. It got hooked on me and I to it.

The original material was actually recorded "live" at St. Rita's Church with the school children, then later on dubbed in additional sounds (i.e., pan flute, bass and additional guitars) in my studio to create more sonic atmosphere to the song in general.

Father, naa ko karon sa LA galatagaw pero excited nko mopauli this weekend kay basin nang tubo na to ang upo na among gitisok last week. Pinadala to ni Raquel ang liso sa upo. Nag tanom pod ko'g dugang carrots, beets ug fennel. Ang mga kalabasa, gipang transplant na pod sa akong bana. Bibo na to among garden in a week's time.

Thanks, Father! I had great time jud. Yesterday, my sister and I attended mass before I left for Sacramento. Didto mi sa Precious Blood Church. That was one mass I will always remember. Pastilan jud I couldn't contain myself, naka drama jud ko'g hilak. 99.9% sa nag attend adtong 9:30 mass were Pinoys. The choir was composed of oldie Pinoys, too,, and yes, some songs were Tagalog. Altar and other servers were Pinoys and so was the Priest - a certain Father Trinidad from Don Bosco. He delivered one of the best sermons.

What was so heartwarming was to see younger people greeting the older people in the church with a Mano. That really reminds me of home. I missed that.
