goya and max: they were the size of a fist, dehydrated and thrown in a box in a manila street. they were about to go to a stray dog; one never knows what would happen next. i had no choice. i happen to be at the wrong place, wrong time (or is it the other way, right place, right time?). right now they're sitting on my lap.

Kakyut! Are you placing your slipper there as an indication to their size?

they dragged my slipper there. had they been teething puppies, that slipper may not have survived.

(tip to those with puppies: always provide something for them to chew on to save your slippers. there are chewable items just for teething puppies in pet stores. my father had a more homegrown tip; bunot ang paduwaan.)
