Lubov Shumnaya keeps about 200 abandoned cats and dogs in her house in Timashyovsk, Russia. The woman keeps the shelter alone and receives no financial help from the state. The daily chores around the shelter require her to work all day long—Lubov wakes up at 5 a.m. every day and goes to bed late after midnight. -- http://www.barnorama.com/

i won't mind having this kun pensioner lang unta ko with enough funds to maintain this.  healthy animals mean healthy humans.  and that's expensive.  i should know.  with around 20 cats (and counting) and 4 dogs ourselves, i know how much we spend for each one per year.  wa na lay labot ang visiting cats.  (those cats who come to our place for food and water as a matter of habit.)  wa na lang poy labot ang airplane trips and health certificates nila.

is it crazy?  you bet.  but try asking those cats and dogs. ;D
