"The Amish Students midst 18 oF in the afternoon"

I went driving to the Amish country to buy some organics. I met these Amish kids were walking at 18 degrees (oF) from school. I have great respects with the Amish people and that i am always hesitant to take their pictures for they people are very private, but guess what i notice they have no parents around so i took this oppurtunity to capture this moment. "Can I take you picture guys?" and they said "SURE!"

Look at them! their faces full of contentments! no complain of whatsoever. Do you think we could live the same way they do?

Sana MDB makakuha sad tag picture sa atong mga kabataan nga gakalapok lapok ang mga senina paingon sa eskwelahan. Gibit bit ang mga tsinelas aron dili mapigtas. Maajo lang lagi kon dool lang ang ilang eskwelahan. Unsa na kaha kon kilo-kilometro na ang ilang baktason, sama sa atong mga ginikanan kaniadto nga nangita jod ug maajong kinaadman.

Tinuod bitaw ni MDB. Dili lang ikaw ug ako ang naka experience niining kahimtanga sa kinabuhi. Lami kaajo palandungon karon ang mga kaniadtong nangagi na. Dako jod diay ang gikatabang kanato karon ang mga kahimtang kanito kaniadto. Pero before, we really were not aware of what we will become now! We'll thank God for that. He gives us the way!

Mr. Eli, pastilan kadumdum jud ko adtong nabuho na akong tsinelas dapit sa tikod sa sige'g gamit. Dayon, kon ma bugtas, ipag dugtong. Kuha lang ug lampara unya sunugon both ends unya kon malanay na gamay, i dikit dayon both ends. Taud-taud gamit na pod! Bright kaayo ta ba!

Tinuod bitaw na Grazie. Pare parehas tag mga enjoyable experiences during our childhood days! Naa gani poy panahon nga guba na jod ang tsinelas, maghimo na lang mi ana gikan sa mga palwa sa lubi. Butangan ni namo ug strap made of abaca fiber para lang dili namo nabati ang kainit sa kalsada. Labi na sa pagpanguli sa mudto!

Sus, di ra ba jud tawon ko pwede way tsinelas kay sakit jud akong lapa-lapa busa i took offense sa among teacher sa elementary sa una na gipabaklay ko without tsinelas sa Principal's office kay dihay representatives sa World Vision kay aron daw tagaan ko'g tsinelas. My pride was so hurt and yet I didn't have the voice to say "no way!".

Sa una pod, after di na magamit ang usa ka parisan, i paris na lang sa lain na color. Naa pay time na ang isa ka paris kay dako kaayo! hahaha Lingaw bya pod mag reminisce noh!

Lindy: OO nga bai Lindy. Talagsaon na ni diri kay halos naka school service na ang mga kabataan karon!

Gingah: Typical ning mga dagkong bag karon sa mga pupils sa Pre-school ug Grade Schools. Sa kadaghan nilag subject karon nga gitun-an, pastilan daghan kaajo silag libro moabot ug 16 ka book wa pa apil tong mga work books. Dudad-on sab ni nila adlaw adlaw sa eskwela. Minos na noon ilang nakat-ona sa ining kalakiha. Looy bitaw sab sa mga gagmayng bata kay kakabagood lagi kalingaw!

This brings back memories of my collegiate days in Allegheny College. There was a strong menonite community near Meadville-and surrounding Crawford County, Pennsylvania-- and I remember going to the local farmer's market on weekends to buy supplies, and meeting the menonite community.
They always opted to sell their farm products, wooden crafts, wool clothing etc.
They made great strawberry pie, too.

Oh, during post-examinations, I would go with my room mates (Don, Bryan, Edwina etc) to the local farmer's market to get some of that.

They also made great home-brewed ice cream. Goodness!

Oh, how I like this picture, a true depiction of how innocent children are! God I pray thee to always stretch your hand for them while they grow, and send your Holy Spirit to shower them with Your wisdom so that they may live their lives in accordance with Your will. Amen

I like this picture too, Haze! It reminds me of what my siblings were like back when we were still about their age.
