Charge d'Affaires of the German Embassy in Bangladesh Dr. Ferdinand von Weyhe awards Amzad Hossain a lifetime membership of the German football fan club. He also gave Hossain a football and a flag of the German national team. Hossain sold a farm to make a 3.5 km long German flag to hail his team in the World Cup. The story reached the German embassy, and the envoy went to Magura went to see the flag.

Hossain, 65, is not a fan of Germany for no reason. He claimed that, in 1987, he was afflicted by an incurable disease that failed all treatment. Then a medicine from Germany gave him back his life.

Since then, Amzad has been a diehard fan of Germany.
