I use Safari. It also works the way I expected. Try the Google Chrome, its a beta but try it anyway. To avoid having a problem browsing the Internet never browse a porn site which your computer is prone to viruses.

Uninstall Firefox and reinstall it again but this time you have to download it in there website.
