Following the momentous groundbreaking ceremonies in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon; Island Garden City of Samal, Davao del Norte; and Carmen, Cebu, Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco today (October 8 ) spearheaded the establishment of the Tourist Rest Area (TRA) in the municipality of Medellin in Cebu.
"We want our tourists to feel comfortable in all legs of their journey as they go across the province of Cebu and across the Philippines," Secretary Frasco said in her keynote message.
Also in attendance were Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia, Deputy Speaker and Cebu 5th District Representative Duke Frasco, TIEZA COO Mark Lapid, Cebu 4th District Representative Janice Salimbangon, Medellin Mayor Joven Mondigo Jr., and Medellin Vice Mayor Alfonso Lim.
