READ: Memorandum Order no. 21-112 issued by Surigao del Norte Governor Francisco Matugas on strict implementation of health protocols due to presence of COVID-19 B.1.351 variant ( first detected in South Africa) in the Province of Dinagat Islands.
With this, incoming passengers from the Province of Dinagat Islands are now required to present a negative RT-PCR or antigen test result within 48 hours or two (2) days from the date of the release of result prior their entry in the Province of Surigao del Norte.
Valid identification card and certificate of acceptance for Surigao del Norte residents, private APORs and tourists are likewise required for said passenger categories from Dinagat Islands, while government APORs need to present valid ID and official travel/mission order.
The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), through its Port Management Offie of Surigao, commits to strictly implement the order in close coordination with the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and Maritime Police as its continuous support to the COVID-19 response and initiatives of Surigao del Norte Province.
