To actualize the learnings on accreditation standards, the tourism officers went on a benchmarking trip to check examples of DOT-accredited 4-star, 3-star, and Mabuhay accommodations in Tagaytay City.
Reviewing the dimensions of accreditation, the group externalized the customer journey by visiting the hotel exterior, arrival/departure areas, the restaurant outlets, rooms, conference/meeting areas, and other amenities and facilities, underlining the importance of ensuring quality in all aspects of the operations.
The activity hopes to provide a holistic understanding of accreditation standards that can be applied once the tourism officers return to their respective provinces.
