What Money Can’t Buy
« on: May 01, 2007, 09:41:10 AM »
Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. —Isaiah 55:6

Money is a necessary part of living. Without it, we couldn’t secure the necessities or luxuries of life. But there are things money can’t buy. As preacher W. A. Criswell said, “Money will buy luxuries, but it will not buy spiritual power. Money will buy advancement and preferment, but it will not buy the recognition of God. Money will buy . . . favor and accolades, but it will not buy soul respect.”

The greatest good—so great that it is in a category all by itself—cannot be bought. If the entire human race were to bankrupt its resources in an effort to buy forgiveness of sin and eternal life with Jesus, it would be infinitely insufficient. All the wealth of the whole world cannot purchase the supreme blessing of forgiveness and heaven.

We’ll never accumulate enough riches to purchase a place in the paradise of God. But there’s good news! Salvation can be ours “without money and without price,” according to Isaiah 55:1.

Have you trusted Jesus as your Savior? You need only to stretch out your empty hands in childlike faith to the Lord (John 1:12). Cry out to Him and confess your sin. “He will abundantly pardon” (Isa. 55:7). —Vernon C Grounds

I am redeemed, but not with silver;
I am bought, but not with gold;
Bought with a price—the blood of Jesus,
Precious price of love untold. —Gray

The faintest knock of faith opens wide the door to forgiveness.

Its because, wala si lord nga nag guide nila, they are far from god.

The most important things in this world are those you don't see.
What shall it profit for a man to gain the whole world but losses his soul.
Let us put our faith in Christ Jesus who saves us from doom.

sa pilipinas lang nga makapamukaw ta sa silingan kung dunay kabilinggan. sa thailand, pareha pud. thais are friendly. i remember sa UK, dihay news early this year that a woman died two years ago, but walay nakahibalo nga in that house naay babaye gapuyo nga namatay na for two years. didto ra pud siya nadugta. i don't know why wala manimaho. perhaps tungod sa ka-busy sa mga tao, wala napud sila kapanimaho.

Money can't buy bad taste. You have to be born with it.

It can't buy love, er, multiple orgasms (the real ones)!

P.S. You started talking about my multiple orgasms, I'll finish it. Haha!

Ooopsss! I've been tinkering with my pc for like 2 hours and I yet have to explore many interesting posts from this site. Sorry, I hit the wrong one. So may I suggest to the administrator to kindly add a special page exclusively for the likes of Rose, Chin, and Paul? It should have a disclaimer specifically stating that heart-attacks caused by this page is not Mike's liability. Also, it should have some grave warning and tight security. Bwahahahaha!

Sounds so exact and inviting but can you have it in English version please? And a little add on: Exclusive to Sexual Related Problems Only. Thanks, Mike!

Whaaah! Gitininuod jud? Now I have a new job to attend to aside from juggling motherhood, wifehood, and teacherhood, in that particular order.

I have to arrange shifts with Chin and Paul to make sure each letter is answered the soonest possible time. And by that I mean, even at 2:37 a.m. I'll prod Chin to do the nocturnal shift.

Rose, your knowledge cannot be bought by money. Look at the original topic. Lahi na ang giabtan diri. :)

By the way, let Chin throw the first question on sexual and marital problem. Does she have one? Or you want to ask first? And Chin will dish out her uncanny advice? :)

Wanted: Who will throw the first question?

Whatta challenge! Go ask me, Mr. Administrator. After all, you're a hero. I will by any means squeeze my brain to answer your most solicited questions. If you couldn't dare, then sign under the name Agapito or Nicolasito. The triumvirate will be waiting.

Yadz, there's no such thing as a forbidden question. Mike has been all the time enjoying the freedom of the press.

Yadz, we've been exchanging silly messages here for 48 hours or so now, I guess it's time for me to see the face behind the shawl. Go bare naked!
