The Will to Survive

The human race is now facing the worst of what Armageddon in the Bible has to offer like disaster, calamities, economic turmoil, nations at war, apathy, hunger, poverty, crime and corruption.  Are there good things left for us to expect?

In a dog-eat-dog situation, a hungry man is willing to face whatever consequence of giving up his soul in order to survive.  The instinct to survive doesn’t recognize the right of others to survive; even their own kind. In a tense situation depicting the rule of the jungle, chances of survival is higher to that of the strongest and the fittest but lower to those unfit.

This painted scenario is not far from what is happening in the society we live today. In time of desperation, most of us will probably think like if we only had a government that is honest and true to their mandate, or a leader who at the very least was as entrepreneurial and progressive as some of other country’s leaders, wouldn’t you feel a tad more hopeful about our future and more willing to help make things work? But the truth is; they are not.

In dire times, procrastination could lead us to nowhere. It’s about time to do what we think can do us good rather than waiting for others to do what they are supposed to do. If we keep on blaming others for our miseries, would it change the situation? If something you expect never happened and the people you relied on failed to deliver, the situation will never change either unless you do or take part in something that will effect change. No amount of whining and griping can solve any problem unless an action leading to a solution is done. Besides, procrastination can never bring food on our table, so does our whining.

Being a part of a solution is a decision to make in the same way as to remain part of a problem on hand. The future depends on the action you will do today. In harder times, continuous dependency for other is tantamount to nothing. Why would you entrust your life to other if they are only after of their own survival?

What you think and do is what you will become, that is life’s predisposition. If we think that life has been very cruel to us is because of how we predisposed our thinking and actions to life’s cruelties. The world is a big jungle where survival of the fittest and elimination of the unfit applies.

Man has the will to survive by the grace of The Father. Who molded the worlds out of nothingness. Whose righteous right arm forgives Sin. Whose LOVE unchallenged sent his only Son, Christ Jesus, to conquer Sin and Death. For the salvation of our eternal souls.

Man, who is made in the image of the Eternal Father. Is naturally and innately willed to survive. To survive is to clench life, to hold and yearn life. Life, that Our Father gave us.

It is the created's natural instinct to hold onto the gift of the CREATOR.
