On occasions, I visit the local St. Bernard Catholic Church to do comptelation, or just go to find solace after a stressful day of work and studies. And every day I always see a group of elderly women--in their late 70s or 80s, at least. And they awlays are there before the Crucifix, praying, always praying. Doing the Rosarian prayers, doing the adoration, reciting and anouncing the Glory Bes, the Our Fathers etc.
I love to hear them pray.
I always sit in the back---enough to not catch their attention, so that i wont disturb their prayers.
But I always, always love to hear them in prayer. I find alot of strength in their faith---almost a rectification and absolution to my own. And to the faith many of us have in CHRIST.
But seeing these elderly women---GOD BLESS THEM!--- i cannot help but refer back to the verse in scripture that Jesus said:
"You are the light of the world, a city built on a hill cannot be hidden. A candle lit should not be hidden, but placed so that it can lite the whol house. Make your light shine so that others will see your good works--and give GLORY to your FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN."
So I thank those elderly women for their faith. And I bless them. God Bless You!
