No Time for God?
« on: May 23, 2009, 09:25:22 AM »
(from a forwarded email)

NO TIME

I knelt to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.
So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My Christian duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease.....
All day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer
No time to speak of Christ to friends,
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.
No time, no time, too much to do,
That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last the time, the time to die
I went before the Lord,
I came, I stood with downcast eyes.
For in his hands God held a book;
It was the book of life.
God looked into his book and said
'Your name I cannot find
I once was going to write it down...
But never found the time'

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

If we don't have time for God,

He wont even have time for us in the life after.

Its either we believe or we burn, baby.

Simple as that.

God Gave us 24 hour days. And 365 days. And 12 months.

Giving at least 5-10 minutes of our time for him everyday--or just go to church on Sabbath is really do-able.

We say to ourselves, "Oh I dont have time to go to church."

The Holy Spirit tells us and is yelling to us in our hearts, "MAKE TIME!"

;D

It really ain't easy, even as a Christian. :'( I'm a full-time government scholar, with several ministries at hand. Many times, I get caught up with so many church activities and studying, that there's no time anymore to pray before the day starts.  :-[ But I have to break through, and get back to the basics of personal devotion. I thank God He's helping me towards that direction, and now I find myself drawing people to God, this time, not as a duty, but as a joy.  :) Even just simple encouraging texts to friends or invitations to services. I realize it's impossible to go on with life without drawing near to Him in a daily basis.

Why? no time for God. Its because according to them,  "God so loved the world that He sent his only forgotten son, whoever believeth is Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

Jesus is their "forgotten son."

Let us believed in Him so that He is our begotten son, our Saviour.

Christian life is not easy indeed. A lot of trials may come in our way just to hinder us in serving the Lord. But we have to bear in mind that, we're just like an alien living in this world that is not ours. We don't know when we would disappear. We have to be ready in all circumstances that may come.

Are you ready to die today? Me? Yes I am! The choice is yours whether you serve the Lord or not. Remember that we are in this world not to serve human but God.

You guys said it!

hehe, reading the texts from Ate Lee, Mr. Daray and Analyn and Comp made me refer back to a beautiful song that I'd like to share with you guys.

Because the words of the song sing glory to the message you all are proclaiming in here.

The Holy Spirit led me to this song, so im just doing his Will and sharing it with you guys.

Again, we owe it to HIM to give HIM time. Even if it is just a small  or short prayer everyday. A sincere relationship with The Lord Jesus Christ really does---Move Mountains.

;)

God Bless!
