In my moment of solitude
« on: October 19, 2009, 01:29:12 PM »

Lately, I was in deep solitude thinking about domestic concerns that trouble my family back home in the Philippines. This thing worries me that at times, I was having a procrastination of things that I really have to do. Though I was looking for an answer from the Bible but seems like I couldn’t get the right connection as if I’m inside but looking outside. Until suddenly I got a forwarded message from an acquaintance (actually a relative of mine) sharing some phrases that later uplift my spirit. The phrases permeate into my heart as if “Somebody” up there is telling me, “Move on son.” I would like to share these phrases hoping you will find it, too, worth reading. Who knows, you might be in a situation now where I was before?

Give God what’s right; not what’s left.
Man’s way leads to hopelessness; God’s way leads to endless hope.
A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing.
He who kneels before God can stand before anyone.
Give Satan an inch and he’ll be a ruler.
Never give Satan a ride; he will always want to drive.
Exercise daily; walk with the Lord.
Suffering from truth decay? Brush up on your Bible.
WARNING: Exposure to Son may prevent burning.
We don’t change God’s message; His message changes us.
Don’t put a question mark where God puts a period.
In the sentence of life, the devil may be a comma, but never let him be the period.
[/i]

Very inspiring message, Gener.
To do it alone can easily be done.
To sustain it alone is difficult.
My 2-cents worth is look for
a spiritual community. Get involve
in their spiritual nourishment
and your spirit will be lifted high.
Your joy will be overflowing.
Your happiness will be immeasurable.
Your wisdom on God will be added.
Your focus on God will be sharpened.
Forward in Christ! Brother Gener.

thanks for the advise. me and my wife belong to a spiritual community group (marriage encounter to be specific) when i was still in the philippines. we are still active members of the group but I for one can no longer join the regular prayer meeting being an OFW base in KSA, where practice of faith other than islam is STRICTLY not allowed. perhaps, i'm just experiencing the need to quench my 'spiritual' thirst, unlike in the philippines, where other members of the group provide moral and spiritual support to a member who is need of it. but, anyhow, God is really good for He knows what you need that He is always providing me answers the moment i need one. Praise be to God.

We are under Marriage Encounter Foundation of the Philippines (MEFP).Though, the group's objective is set entirely in strengthening relationship amongst catholic couples, our own batch is meeting regulary for Bible study, prayer meetings and the likes. But now, I'm here in KSA, oftentimes, I would resolved to self Bible study which is good for my spiritual nourishment.

Moments in Solitude

Embraced by darkness my abandoned soul Screams
within my mind I see But darkness drowning in mymisery
Take me away to lands beyond this bleeding earth
Those moments in solitude where my mind
flies away Into the realm among the clouds where I
rule my own life A kingdom for myself A place
without fear and with no need for your gods
Where I find eternal piece within my soul
The realm among the clouds
Where I wander in my moments of solitude
But still I am falling through endless skies
Skies of darkness obscured by reality
That shrouds my life with hatred and lies

Catholic doctrines and the like.

Brothers Gener and Gwargz:

How helpful is attending CFC meetings?
My own relationship is rather strong yet very young. We have been dating for just 2 weeks, but have known each other for about 3 months now. One thing that I like about my love, the same is reciprocated to me, as she says, is that we are both open in religious experiences. She is a big rosarian. She prays the rosary quite often, which, I must admit, I have not kept up to date, personally. Very big sija sa adoration sa Saints, and in Feast Days of Saints. Which, I think is a breath of fresh air into my own soul.

I admit that for the last year and a half since beginning med school, I have attended weekly masses, as well as sing for our Church Choir, but have mostly maintained a deep and personal biblical study on a daily basis. Gi re-introduce ko ni Stacy (my love), to Catholic Prayers--which she has a booklet of and Catechism information.

We do go to Mass together, but Am wondering if CFC would help strengthen our new-found relationship all the more.
She is, a very big into Catholic Christian Teachings, which, by God's Grace, is surge for me.

I need to pray with my rosary more often, though.

Dugay lagi mi duha nag pagita!!!

Gi ingnan ko sa ahong mahal, "Albrando, where have you been all my life? What have you been doing?"
I told her, "I have been here. And in medical school. And God put you in my path, as well as HE put me in your path."
Her eyes widened. Searching deep into my soul.

Brother, this one, is an extension of my persona. I do believe and I am in profound adoration of the Blessed Word. For He has allowed me to find my love of my life. Though we have known each other for only 3 months---it seems as if we have known each other for DECADES. She knows my idiosyncracies, to the teeth. As well as I do for her. We are so very similar, sometimes we even complete our sentences...when we don't mean to. lol.

How wonderful and joyous it is, to find someone in the profession that I am in, with interests that I have, with cultural heart that I have, with a family that is like mine.

Truly, Truly, Truly, GOD is GREAT.
He has answered my prayers. Completely.
Mo ampo ko, and ipadajon ahong gi ampohan nija.
POWER OF PRAYER.
POWER OF GOD.

Thank you so much for the link.
I will read this and share this with my Mahal.

Yours In Christ,
Albrando "Bran"
