George Carlin's Views on Ageing

Do you realise that the only time in our lives when we like to get old is when we're kids? If you're less than 10 years old, you're so excited about ageing that you think in fractions.

'How old are you?' 'I'm four and a half!' You're never thirty-six and a half. You're four and a half, going on five! That's the key

You get into your teens, now they can't hold you back. You jump to the next number, or even a few ahead.

'How old are you?' 'I'm gonna be 16!' You could be 13, but hey, you're gonna be 16! And then the greatest day of your life .... . You become 21. Even the words sound like a ceremony.. YOU BECOME 21. YESSSS!!!

But then you turn 30. Oooohh, what happened there? Makes you sound like bad milk! He TURNED; we had to throw him out. There's no fun now, you're Just a sour-dumpling. What's wrong? What's changed?

You BECOME 21, you TURN 30, then you're PUSHING 40. Whoa! Put on the brakes, it's all slipping away. Before you know it, you REACH 50 and your dreams are gone.

But wait!!! You MAKE it to 60. You didn't think you would!

So you BECOME 21, TURN 30, PUSH 40, REACH 50 and MAKE it to 60.

You've built up so much speed that you HIT 70! After that it's a day-by-day thing; you HIT Wednesday!

You get into your 80's and every day is a complete cycle; you HIT lunch; you TURN 4:30 ; you REACH bedtime. And it doesn't end there Into the 90s, you start going backwards; 'I Was JUST 92.'

Then a strange thing happens.. If you make it over 100, you become a little kid again. 'I'm 100 and a half!'

May we all make it to a healthy 100 and a half!!

HOW TO STAY YOUNG

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay them.

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.' And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER :

Worry about nothing, pray about everything!!!

I'm 45 (actually in December this year) and because of your post, I'll plan the next five years so I'll reach 50 having accomplished a dream, not lost it. Time really flies, it helps to keep a total perspective of life. I don't want to look back and say, "Did I just pass by without leaving a mark?"

It's nice to have goalposts, as in years, but maybe you don't have to be too literal about it. Life is like a rainbow; you move a step away and you see a different one. That's why no one looks at the same rainbow, and that's why when you change position, in space and time, the rainbow changes, too.

TIPS TO BE HEALTHY AND STAY YOUNG

Everyone in this world want to stay young and healthy. But to have it one has to keep in mind and follow certain thing. There is no hard and fast rule that one should follow it as mentioned below. As we know prevention is better than cure. One have to follows do and don't that comes in their life, mostly the habits which may be harmful to ones health.

Pollution
Keep away from pollution they can cause great harm to the skin by giving rise to dermatitis and pimples, white heads and black heads, beside causing rashes, boils and skin irritation. Therefore as far as possible, safeguard yourself from pollutants by covering your face and nose while traveling or passing through highly polluted areas.

Sun Rays
Too much exposure to the harsh rays of the sun can give rise to skin cancer. Do not venture out when the sun is at its highest. Always use a sunscreen when going out and cover your face with a scarf or an umbrella. Without fail when you are on bike ride, sunscreen must be used and helmet, which protects your head and the face, is a must to carry with. In many cases sunrays give rise to sunburns and tanning, these are very embarrassing skin blemishes. It is face where out beauty stand for attraction, keep it safe.

Another Sun Ray in Healthcare Story
TOO MUCH CAFFEINE
Drinking too much coffee in a day may cause dehydration of the skin; beside it interferes with your sleep, giving rise to insomnia. Insomnia can cause or give rise to crows' feet, wrinkles, and dark circles under the eyes, puffy eyes and dull skin.

Teens drinking more coffee despite health & financial impact
Smoking effect on Health
Smoking which worldwide rated as bad for health and one must be away from it. Smoking can prove very devastating to the skin. The nicotine in the tobacco decreases the circulation of the blood to the skin thus preventing the skin from imbibing oxygen and other important nutrients, which keep it going. This may cause premature wrinkles of the skin, since the smoke particles attract dust and dirt from the atmosphere which settle on the skin, clogging the pores which gives rise to pimples, boils and rashes. Besides smoking give rise to crows' feet and wrinkles around the face and most dangerous is mouth cancer.

Stop Smoking
Drinking Water
Drink lot of water to keep your skin young and shiny. Washed your faced at least two to three times a day to keep away all the dust particles settled on your face and the skin.

How To Stay Young?

Sa binugoy nga panimpla sayon ra ni.
1. Inom kada adlaw, kanang hard liquor jod. Ayaw ug kaon.
2. Yupyop ug sigarilyo, 1 to 3 packs a day.
3. Do a regular night life, kanang sayo sa buntag na makauli.
4. Ayaw ug exercise. Pirmi kuyog sa daotang bisyo.
5. Kaon ug humba kanunay. Ayaw nag kaon ug otan ug prutas.

By doing all of the above, you will stay young.
You will never grow old.
Because you will die young.

Vhinz tinuod matanggal jud ang extra fats! pero baja nagka bursitis baja ko ani doh! kay we go on technical trails like aning mga bato-bato, anyhow ning undang mi ani nga trail kay naay cougar diay! naay bikers nga mag juwa dayun gi attack sa cougar ang baje, gi tabangan sa laki, ang laki noon ang namatay dayun ang baje ning survive pero nagusbat jud ang nawong. Wa na jud mi ning balik diha, namalhin nasad mi ug lain nga lasang ambut oi di man ta bation ug kahadlok ug wa pay nahitabo.

Karon kani akong nabalhinan nga state wa jud bungtod! wa sad dry creeks maka depress. Im trying to switch to a pave biking pero boring and i cant just discard my mountain bike. I love my bike kay this really has help my loneliness sa dihang nag inusara pa ko. (drama man sad ni sa DYHP) hahaha!

Attitude and outlook in life helps so much! I am into extreme sports and activities, i.e. skydiving, rock climbing, scuba diving, zumba, swimming, tennis, rollerblading, and riding my harley. It's not only exhilarating but it releases all the tensions and stresses I have.

I stay away from negative people because they tend to also bring you down. So, surround yourself with happy and positive people. Don't sweat the small stuff!

Lastly, find inner peace! Be at peace with yourself and with others!

I hang around with happy, supportive and uplifting friends. I attend mass regularly and bible study groups that encourage and strengthen faith and inspires!

I like going on nature trail hikes, or adventures...seeing nature keeps one young.
