Everyone gets insulted once in a while, but it can really hurt. This article will offer guidance about how you can face up to it without losing confidence.

1.  Deter Insults! Try not to look shy, or nervous. If necessary, try the 'Chest out, shoulders back' approach. People are more likely to bully somebody who doesn't look like they've got the guts to stand up for themselves.

2. Be Unphased! If Step 1 didn't prevent you getting insulted, the best thing to do is not to react. If the person who attempted an insult sees you're unphased, they're less likely to continue.

3.  Walk Away! Walk away from the person. If they follow, find a crowded area, to deter the conflict from becoming physical. Do be prepared to stand up for yourself if you seriously feel insulted, and you're absolutely sure that's how it was meant.

5.  Don't Listen! Don't listen to the insults, and try not to let them reach you. When somebody starts an insult spate, it's best just to try and block your ears, no matter how hard this may seem.

6. Talk to Friends! Talk to a friend or close family member. Do anything that will give your self-confidence a boost! You need fortification against the insult and its effects.

7.  Move On! The more you're insulted, and the more regularly you deal with it, the easier it becomes. Eventually, the other person should get the hint and leave you alone. If they are threatening you, be prepared to stand up for yourself, and tell them you are insulted.

8. Prepare to Forgive! Don't let the insults eat away at you. In future, the person may genuinely regret insulting you, so it's best not to close your mind to the possibility. At the same time, don't let the other person think that you'll just keep forgiving them.
