How the substitute became the regular organist
« on: September 27, 2009, 03:42:34 PM »
The minister was preoccupied with thoughts of how he was going to ask the congregation to come up with more money than they were expecting for repairs to the church building. Therefore, he was annoyed to find that the regular organist was sick and a substitute had been brought in at the last minute. The substitute wanted to know what to play.

"Here's a copy of the service," he said impatiently. "But, you'll have to think of something to play after I make the announcement about the finances."

During the service, the minister paused and said,

"Brothers and Sisters, we are in great difficulty; the roof repairs cost twice as much as we expected and we need $4,000 more. Any of you who can pledge $100 or more, please stand up."

At that moment, the substitute organist played,

"The Star Spangled Banner."

And that is how the substitute became the regular organist!

By the way, do you know what is the meaning of Bible?
It's Basic Information Before Leaving Earth

hahaha,

In the Philippines, when public urged both House of Congress to appropriate a portion of their CWDF (known as 'Pork Barrel') to victims of 'Ondoy', the upper house decided to aportion 1M each Senator, from the Lower House, dead-ma lang muna kahit siguro patugtugin pa ang Lupang Hinirang, they will not bother to move an inch to touch their 'pork barrel', #$@%$$######, grrrrr@#$%%$#$$%

it's their "ticket" for the next election, gener. if they do "charity" for flood victims now, chances are, people may not remember them next year when the election campaign intensifies.

When disaster strikes, as it did this week, you could count the government’s rubber boats with your 10 fingers. People using toy floaters to save people—this tragic sight is in a country where billions of pesos go into the pork barrel of politicians and government officials, and that’s not even counting what’s in the coffers of local officials.
