oyab sila. one day nakahunahuna ang laki nga mosulod sa seminaryo. wa sila magbuwag as oyabs. sa panahon ni nga ang mga dato ra kaayo ang naay cellphone, kaniadtong ang cellphone pareha pa kadak-a ug bakya sa anay sa mandaue. nagnganga pa gani ko ato pakakita ug di pa gyod ko motuo nga maka-contact ug long distance ang cellphone. in other words, arang datoa ning tawhana. grabeg abilidad ug negosyo. bisan unsa ang iyang negosyohon, morag dugokon dayon ug olmigas sa katam-is. walang kapalpakan kun kwartahay na man lang.

in 2 or 3 years' time of his seminary studies, tragedy struck. ang iyang oyab nga wa gyod intawon mangoyab ug lain kay nagpadayon pa man sila wa gyod magbuwag ug ensakto nadisgrasyahan tawon ug dungan ug ginikanan. siya na lang ug iyang younger sister ang nabilin aning kalibotana. tepok pod unta ang iyang younger sister atong trahedyaha kun wa pa niya hawiri by saying nga "imo diay kong biyaan? mag-inusara na lang diay kong mobiyahe ugma. kuyog na lang ta ugma..." you know, mga ginagmayng close call miracles that we get now and then...

agi siguro kay the guy is really a real charitable man at heart, nigawas sa seminaryo ug naminyo sila. di ni diretso. it took a couple of years. but they got married and he turned his back to priesthood.

balik siya sa pagkadato. he had two beautiful residential houses, his and hers cars, two children, and of course the younger sister of his wife who was always part of the family.

but trouble was just around the corner.

wa na ko kahibawo sa details. the little that i know (di ko manginterbyu niya, opkors naman kauwaw ba ug sobra ta katsismosa) is something i won't even believe. what's more believable can be summed as character issues. di lang gyod sibo ang duha once they lived together.

yes, nagbuwag silag tiwas. dili divorce kay wa man ni sa ato, kundi annulment. limpyo ang agi. tanan properties didto sa former wife, including custody of their 2 children.

as for him, the former successful businessman, ex-seminarian, ex-husband, he went back to the seminary again. luckily, this time, he must have been very intent. also, he had a good spiritual director and vocation director. giayo gyod tingali siya ug amoma.

atong mga panahona nga obvious nga nitagilid siya kun mag-unsa siya aning kinabuhia, trying to find himself and his calling probably, nagkita mi by chance. nahatod pa gani ko nila sa balay after watching a stage play. wa gyod koy saba, way pangutana, wa koy labot, but i was sensing a miracle was in the offing. sakit ray akong gihisgotan, specifically, my backache and why i was walking the way i did, hehehe, morag model nga tuskig sa rampa. (note: balong style ning akong storytelling.)

this time he really went on to become a priest.

i heard the wife eventually settled in australia together with her sister and her 2 children. the ex-husband who became a priest is a missionary in the mountains somewhere in luzon.

moral lesson: we all need dire situations and the guidance of true friends to find our own true path, our own personal calling. we just have to listen and discern.
