Roman Catholics, Orthodox, Baptists, Protestants, etc. have one common goal.
To be in communion with God after this earthly life.
No religion can save one's soul, that is a fact.
Catholicism claims to be the oldest religion and has the biggest followers
can not save me. I am a Roman Catholic. A devoted one.
At the end of the day, the Gatekeeper in Heaven will not ask one of us:
"Are you a Catholic?" Or are you a "Protestant?"
The Gatekeeper will just browse the Book of Life in Heaven if one's name is there.
I am a Roman Catholic, i would reiterate.
I will die a Roman Catholic.
But i am a surviving Catholic.
I am surviving to know more Jesus Christ.
Knowing Him is getting off the old clothes and wearing the new one.
Knowing Him is singing and doing the Prayer of St. Francis.
It is really very hard to follow Jesus Christ.
Madugo.
But i must, to repay God,
for giving me the chance to experience
the beautiful life on earth.

We can better ponder the deeper meaning of Christ's message by reading a very popular verse from Luke:

Luke 4:14-19

[14] Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside. [15] He taught in their synagogues, and everyone praised him.

[16] He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read. [17] The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:

[18] "The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to release the oppressed,
[19] to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."

Preach to the poor, speak to the poor, and help the poor.
In whatever way we can.
That is Jesus' Message.

By spreading the good news, we help in working out our own salvation.

The first task in this "commission" consists of preaching good news. In Greek the word is euangelizo, "bring or announce good news."[5] The word is formed from two words, eu, "well ... to be well off, fare well, prosper,"[6] and angelos, "a messenger, envoy, one who is sent,"[7] from which we derive our English word "angel." In the Old Testament Septuagint (Greek translation of the Old Testament), this word is used in announcing God's kindness (Psalm 40:9) and Messianic blessings of salvation (Isaiah 40:9; 52:7; 60:6; and 61:1, etc.).

The recipients of this good news pronouncement are the poor. Are these literal poor people with few pennies in their pockets? Or is Jesus referring figuratively to "the poor in spirit," the humble in contrast to the proud (Matthew 5:3)? I think Jesus refers to both. By and large his message was received eagerly by the poor. The rich and powerful were threatened by it. "How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God! Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God' " (Luke 18:24-25). [Let's wait to interpret "eye of a needle" until we get to this passage. Okay?] The rich had much more difficulty with Jesus' message than the poor. To the poor Jesus message offered security -- they had little to lose. The rich had carefully placed their money around them to provide a sense of security, and Jesus' message challenged their values to the core. True, some rich people became believers (Zacchaeus, Joseph of Arimathea, Mary Magdalene, etc.), but most were the common folk.

Tony Meloto & Frank Padilla both resigned from the International Council and parted ways.
Tony remained with CFC and Frank formed CFC-FFL. Naduha ang CFC. This space is not enough
for me to tell all the tales, but each group has its own tale to tell, kaya to those interested,
browse na lang kayo sa websites ng dalawa.

To those interested with Gawad Kalinga, naa pod sila website. You may be interested
in sharing your treasures to the poor by giving them houses, you can contact GK anytime,

Gwardz response is with a great substance. I met Meloto personally during (his European trips )the heydays of CFC and Gawad Kalinga was still young. With lots of support and money , here starts the trouble. There are lots of Fil-German orgs who are financing GK projects. I got close friends who were pioneers of the CFC, but who have to decide to whose camps they should belong.
In my personal opinion it is a matter of envy and pride.

This is inspiring that the Philippines has alot of catholic youth organizations!

Gamay raman diri sa US. Limited.

I did not recieve the Holy Spirit's Evangelistic Call till my college years.

And it was through the friendship of my good friend, Fr. Mark Hoffman, my spiritual director.
It was through my friend and spiritual director, Fr. Mark, that I was introduced to lively-reading of the Holy Bible.
He encouraged me to "search the scriptures". In that process, the Holy Spirit touched me. And He has been a pivotal force in my Life. My rock that I stand on. My total and complete Justification.
