By His Wounds We Are Healed
Father GOD in heaven,
I praise and thank You that Christ was lifted up to die on the cross to pay the price for my sin. I am as guilty of His death on the cross as those that falsely accused Him and nailed Him there to die. I am equally to blame and yet I praise and thank You that through faith in His sacrificial death and glorious resurrection I have been redeemed and forgiven of my sin and I praise You that His finished work was sufficient — Hallelujah — what a Savior — praise His holy name.... Again Father, thank You that the Lord Jesus Christ was wounded for my transgressions and bore my sins in His body on the tree. Thank You that my guilt has been exchanged for peace with God and the peace of God now rests in my heart. Thank You that I have been forever released from the bondage of sin and death and that by His stripes I have been healed: clothed in His righteousness and made a child of God. Thank You that Christ Jesus is my kinsman-Redeemer and the sinless Substitute for my sins — — which by His death and resurrection have been flung as far as the east is from the west — Thank You Lord.
In Jesus’ Name I Pray....

Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the LORD laid on him the sins of us all.
