The Philippines participated in the 1936 Summer Olympics held in Berlin, Germany with an impressive win-loss record of 4-1, the Philippines secured a commendable 5th-place finish in the overall rankings.
The Philippine basketball team emerged victorious against all of their adversaries with the exception of the United States.
