it's not hard to quit smoking. my father and i can attest to that.
my father quit smoking after 20 years of getting addicted to nicotine. he call it quits when he felt something is about to go wrong. he can feel itchiness in his throat.
i started smoking at the age of 16 when i was about to enter college. that was around late 1992. my influence were my cousins and barkada. it came to the point that i can puff 3 packs a day. i quit smoking in the later part of 2005. my smoking lasted for 13 years. the reason i quit was the same reason as my father. i started to feel itchiness in my throat and if ever i had coughs i feel it will take sometime before it will go away.
i followed what my father did, ate candies and lozenges. and then drink orange juice and ate lots of oranges too. it took me about 3 months to feel that i longer had the urge to smoke.
