Garlic



Sure, it’s murder on your breath, but garlic does wonders for your body. High levels of allicin, the antimicrobial and antibiotic naturally found in garlic, have been proven to lower blood pressure. Additionally, it’s been shown to stave off certain forms of cancer, lower your risk of heart disease, and reduce “bad” LDL cholesterol levels. Try sautéing a couple of finely chopped cloves of garlic in some extra virgin olive oil with fresh chopped plum tomatoes, basil, red onions and Kalamata olives for a light and delicious pasta sauce.
