i use banana too to dislodge fish bone in the throat. works every time.
if a banana is unavailable, i ask around for anybody who was born feet first. as those who qualify for this are rarer than a banana, i then use the paw of a cat to gently massage the part of my neck or the part just under the chin (outside, please; not inside) where i believe the fish bone is stuck inside. of course, the cat is always mine. a stranger of a cat would be impossible to hold, much less lead its paw to massage my neck. works every time, too. (for the curious, yes, any cat i "use" keeps its moveable nails safely inside their "sockets".) this may fall under health myth instead of health capsules, but it's no myth for me.
