i'm taking these at the moment. i don't know the results yet. there are testimonials, both from people i haven't met and close relatives and friends, but i have to experience the results myself. if i feel better soon, then that's it. of course, i'm also taking prescribed medications by a medical doctor.

A 1-cup serving of mangosteen canned in heavy syrup that has been drained of its juices contains 143 calories, the U.S. Department of Agriculture reports. The fat content stands at about 1 g, while a serving of the fruit has about 35 g of carbohydrates, which includes 3.5 g of fiber. The fruit also contains several vitamins and minerals, including vitamin A, vitamin C, folate, calcium, magnesium, potassium and phosphorus.

Effects on Cancer

While some companies that manufacture and market mangosteen juice and mangosteen supplements as a treatment for people with cancer, no scientific evidence to date supports these claims, the American Cancer Society reports. In addition, using juices or supplements containing the fruit may interfere with certain drugs used in chemotherapy to treat cancer, Sloan-Kettering reports. More study is necessary to determine whether mangosteen can be beneficial for cancer patients. Do not use it to treat cancer without first consulting with a medical professional.

Medicinal Properties

Like many other fruits, mangosteen contains high levels of antioxidants, which protect your body from free radicals. Free radicals may contribute to cancer and other health conditions such as heart disease and stroke. Due to its medical properties, mangosteen and supplements containing it may help treat certain medical conditions, including immune function and mental acuity, but more study is necessary, the American Cancer Society reports. Warnings

Use of supplements containing mangosteen is safe for most people, but some must use caution. For example, because of its high sugar content, people with diabetes must use it carefully and should first consult with a doctor, Sloan-Kettering warns. Additionally, in at least one case, someone using mangosteen juice daily for a year developed lactic acidosis. Due to the potential risks, you should always discuss your complete medical history with your doctor before using any alternative treatments.

Xanthone is an organic compound with the molecular formula C13H8O2. It can be prepared by the heating of phenyl salicylate. In 1939, xanthone was introduced as an insecticide and it currently finds uses as ovicide for codling moth eggs and as a larvicide. Xanthone is also used in the preparation of xanthydrol, which is used in the determination of urea levels in the blood. (wikipedia)

Xanthone derivatives

The chemical structure of xanthone forms the central core of a variety of naturally occurring organic compounds, such as mangosteen, which are sometimes collectively referred to as xanthones or xanthonoids. Over 200 xanthones have been identified. Xanthones are natural constituents of plants in the families Bonnetiaceae and Clusiaceae and are found in some species in the family Podostemaceae. Many of these xanthones are found in the pericarp of the mangosteen fruit (Garcinia mangostana), which can be found in the region of Southeast Asia.

Synthetic derivatives of xanthone can be added during the polymerization of polyester, to form a plastic that has a greater resistance to degradation by ultraviolet light. The most useful derivative is tetrahydroxyxanthone. Polyester film can be used for the production of third generation printed solar cells, to make them a cost effective alternative to silica-based solar energy generation. It was originally intended that the additive be used for polyester greenhouses in hot climates, where the plastic would degrade after a few years from UV exposure. Another wonder story from MX3 Capsules

mora lagi ug naay epekto ang mx3 nako... ambot lang kaha, pero sa di pa ko tigtomar ani, naglurat pa akong mata at 3 a.m. tungod sa insomnia. karon, wa pay 12 midnight, natampilaw na ko atubangan sa monitor. i will observe further. meantime, to bed i go. goodnight, tb netizens. happy to sleep before 12 midnight after such a long time...
