Dental mission in Antique serves 788 patients
SAN JOSE De BUENAVISTA,
Antique, Feb. 22 (PNA) –- A recent dental mission in Bugasong municipality, Antique province served 788 patients.
Provincial board member, Dr. Egidio Elio, said in an interview Wednesday that the dental mission was conducted by nine dentists from the Philippine Dental Association's Quezon City Chapter and from St. Luke’s Medical Center, led by Dr. Orlando Quiazon.
They were supported by 15 local dentists and dental assistants belonging to the Philippine Dental Association, Antique Chapter, headed by its president Dr. Honeyvie Fruylan.
“That was so far the biggest dental mission ever held in Antique,†said Elio, who is also executive director of Tabang Antique.
The dental mission, he said, was the 22nd medical-surgical-dental activity that he had organized since Tabang Antique started in 2002.
The project was funded by the Bugasong Pag-ulikid Foundation USA, Inc., a charitable group composed of Bugasongnons across the world, led by its president, California-based Rachel Villaruz Bergez. (PNA)
