Dr. Castillo might want to clarify to the lay population that 'diabetes' involves a plethora of types, some of which hold no bearing to size of person, let alone breast shape, size.
In cases of Diabetes Mellitus; there are 2 types:
1. IDDM (insulin dependent diabetes mellitus)--which is a total lack of pancreatic b-cells, which is a complete lack of insulin, is a genetic case (chromosomal association in the level of HLA-DQ). Size, shape of person does not matter. One can be extremely athletic and toned, and still have this condition.
2. NIDDM (Non insulin dependent diabetes mellitus)-- dependent on size, and family history is a strong predictor
In cases of Diabetes Insipidus; there again are 2 types:
1. Central DI
2. Nephrogenic DI
In all these cases of DI, size is not a factor. Because DI is dependent on the kidney's ability to respond to ADH (anti-diuretic hormone; vasopressin) or not.
