Background About E. coli
« on: November 26, 2023, 03:20:59 PM »
E. coli is a type of bacteria that normally lives in the intestines of humans and animals. Most strains of E. coli are harmless, but some can cause infections that may lead to diarrhea, abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, fever, and sometimes more serious complications.

Some of the common causes of E. coli infection are:

- Eating or drinking contaminated food or water, such as undercooked meat, raw milk, or untreated water.
- Coming into contact with feces from infected people or animals, such as through poor hygiene, handling animals, or swimming in polluted water.
- Traveling to areas where E. coli infection is more common, such as developing countries.

To prevent E. coli infection, you should:

- Cook meat thoroughly and avoid cross-contamination of raw and cooked foods.
- Drink pasteurized milk and boiled or bottled water.
- Wash your hands frequently, especially before eating or preparing food, after using the bathroom, or after touching animals.
- Avoid swallowing water when swimming or playing in lakes, ponds, or pools.
- Seek medical attention if you have symptoms of E. coli infection, especially if you have bloody diarrhea, severe abdominal pain, or signs of dehydration.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
