Exploring the Link Between Alcohol and Violence

Alcohol and violence are commonly associated public health issues. According to national poll on domestic violence conducted by the Allstate Foundation, nearly three out of four (74%) of Americans personally know someone who is or has been a victim of domestic violence. Alcohol raises the risk for many types of abuse, from intimate partner violence to child abuse and sexual assault. It can be the cause or the consequence of violence and abuse, leading to widespread suffering in many extended families.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. - John 3:16-18
