This is an article about a Guindulmanon who happens to be a "living" Olympian in BOXING. He competed in 1968 Olympics in Mexico. His name is Teogenes Peligrino and resides in Basdio, Guindulman, Bohol. He brought an honor to our town and to our country back then. Nobody knows this, or at least we, the new generation of Guindulmanons, do not know him till now. He has NOT been properly honored by our Philippine government or even our community, which is to me sounds weird or incredible but not surprising, according to another Guindulmanon journalist-writer of Bohol Standard named Fred Amora. He is almost forgotten. Thanks to Fred. I feature him in here just to honor him in my own little way and I hope you do too. I salute him for his determination to win during his time though it was long time ago. Hope to see more of his kind from our town, or even from our country. He has my respect. May his tribe multiply. Please congratulate him or even shake his hand if you happen to see him in the streets of Guindulman or in Basdio. Tell him, "thank you" for the honor and pride he gave us, even though it was quite long past. That was very remarkable. Am not sure he is a SMA Alumnus, but he might.
