For the sake of curiosity akong nakita kini nga website mentioning the name of Mayor Piezas:
Pila kaha ka tuig kanang loan mabayran for a small town like Guindulman.
I am not from Guindulman pero I am concerned being a tax payer and and a contributor that keeps our economy afloat (the OFW).
This message is also for the future Mayors of Guindulman.
Moreover, I have not seen serious efforts of preservation in this town like preserving the culture of the Escaya and the recent cutting of century old Acacia trees. There should be an Escaya Heritage Center in this town which is open for tourists.
If you are gearing for tourism industry, you better do it.
Macky, sadly, when people are immersed in their political ass kissing activities of daily life, they don't think for the longterm. They think for the next three years calculating how much money they can make and how they can make their name immortal. ITs always a race for re-election and the hope of starting a political dynasty. ( next mayor wife, then daughter...etc like the Chattos of Balilihan)
Its easy to see once you're looking at it from a distance, but when I remember how a lot of the people there don't give a rat's ass about a lot of things not concerning their daily lives, i can understand that its not even mean, or intentional or even murderous..it just never crossed their minds.
Maybe someday, when the basic need of food...guaranteed 3 meals a day are met, our people will think bigger. For now, we can't really blame them.
If you've ever been to the slums and ghettos of the US, its like being in the rougher areas of manila. potholes on the road, broken windows covered with scotch tape, no garden in sight and no trees either. When you go to suburbia, middle class areas, there's tons of trees and the yard always boasts of some sort of a garden.
I'm just saying....hopefully, someday, someone can take the time out of their ass kissing, corruption planning day to actually think about the most basic needs of the people and make sure those are met so they can move on to other....less pressing needs. (ego tripping with "monuments")
