Tzu Chi Bohol Scholars Graduate with Distinction
The Tzu Chi Bohol Foundation celebrated the graduation of its scholars on Saturday, with a ceremony held at the Tzu Chi Bohol Learning Center.
The foundation has been providing scholarships to deserving students from Bohol since 2007, and this year's graduating class included 25 students who completed their studies in various fields, including medicine, engineering, and education.
In his speech, foundation president, Mr. Joselito A. Villarosa, congratulated the graduates and their families, and thanked the foundation's donors for making this program possible.
"Education is a powerful tool that empowers individuals to pursue their dreams, make a positive impact on the world, and contribute to society," he said. "The Tzu Chi Bohol Foundation is proud to have played a role in helping these young people achieve their goals."
The graduates also spoke at the ceremony, expressing their gratitude to the foundation for its support.
"I am so grateful for the opportunity to have received a scholarship from the Tzu Chi Bohol Foundation," said one graduate, Ms. Maria Teresa C. Concepcion. "This scholarship has allowed me to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor, and I am confident that I will be able to use my skills to help others."
Another graduate, Mr. John Paul G. Estillore, said that the scholarship had helped him to overcome financial difficulties and focus on his studies.
"I am so grateful for the Tzu Chi Bohol Foundation's support," he said. "This scholarship has allowed me to achieve my dream of becoming an engineer, and I am confident that I will be able to use my skills to help build a better future for Bohol."
The Tzu Chi Bohol Foundation is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2007 by a group of Buddhist practitioners in Bohol. The foundation's mission is to promote compassion, peace, and human understanding through education, healthcare, and disaster relief.
The foundation's scholarship program is one of its most important initiatives, and it has helped to provide a brighter future for hundreds of young people in Bohol.
