On October 15, prayers and thanksgiving will top the activities marking the first year after a magnitude-7.2 quake devastated Bohol province in Central Visayas.
Bohol Governor Edgar Chatto disclosed such activities to mark the anniversary, state-run Philippine Information Agency reported.
PIA added there will be a "grand audio-video exhibit" of photographs and footage that captured the quake.
On Oct. 15 last year, a magnitude-7.2 quake devastated Bohol but its residents managed to recover from the tragedy.
Meanwhile, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan asked President Benigno Aquino III to declare Oct. 15 starting this year as a special non-working holiday in Bohol.
Bohol residents are awaiting Malacañang's response on the matter, the PIA said. — Joel Locsin /LBG, GMA News
