This early, representatives of the Australian Government managing the ODA (Official Development Assistance) to the Philippines (particularly those for Bohol) already met with Governor-elect Edgar Chatto in Manila to make their assistance portfolio dovetail with the Economic Blueprint to be announced by the governor. The infrastructure discussion included some Bohol road projects.
"It is important to rationalize the Plan, because even ODAs do require counterpart funding from the local government and therefore it behooves us to prioritize projects according to our development plan because of the scarcity of funds," the first district congressman from Balilihan said.
Chatto, as incoming top executive of the province, is expected to draw the road map soon which every other endorsed project will have to fall in line for prioritization.
The Governor told the Chronicle that he is enthused to see the outcome of the scheduled meeting of the agencies involved with the outgoing administration this June 4-6 because he believed the inputs thereof will be part of the "items" in the transition agenda between Gov. Rico Aumentado and the incoming governor Chatto.
Chatto's transition team is headed by reelected board member of the first district Ae Damalerio while that of Aumentado is headed by Prov'l Attorney Handel Lagunay and Prov'l Planning and Development Officer John Titus Vistal. - Bohol Chronicle
