The First Consolidated Bank this week donated one IBM personal computer and LCD monitor to the Bohol Criminal Investigation and Detection Group under the OPLAN Sumpo Krimen, a Community-Based Anti-Crime Campaign.
Assistant Vice President Dionisio Cabrera turned over the donation to Police Chief Inspector Gernano Mallari, provincial chief, Bohol CIDG in a simple turnover ceremony.
So far, FCB has donated three personal computers to Bohol CIDG, and three IBM personal computers, three LCD monitors, two HP Deskjet printers, 50 units Nokia Cellphones, and situation map to the Bohol Police Provincial Office, all valued at over P200,000.
The FCB donation is in response to the call of Police Senior Supt. Edgardo Ingking, Bohol Peovincial Director for the business establishments and the community to participate in OPLAN Sumpo Krimen.
The BPPO, through the encouragement and support of the Provincial Government, has initiated OPLAN Sumpo Krimen, designed to enforce the law, prevent and control crimes, and maintain peace and order in the province.
Earlier the Provincial Government, the Bohol Police Provincial Office, the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (Bohol Chapter), the First Consolidated Bank, and the Bohol Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently signed an agreement supporting the implementation of OPLAN Sumpo Krimen.
Under the agreement, the Bohol Provincial Government will donate computers and provide logistical support to OPLAN Sumpo Krimen. FCB will also give computers, cell phones, location map and funds for the refurbishing of the Provincial Tactical Operation Center of BPPO.
